Winter wedding wear

October 9th 2011katie

I have an excuse to buy a new dress! Josh’s brother is getting married at the end of November (I designed the invitations for them), so I need a pretty cold-weather-appropriate dress. I’m hoping to find something in San Francisco, but here are a few backup options. I’m leaning towards the pretty grey number from Monsoon, teamed with a blazer and wedges for comfort. What do you think? Any tips for cover-ups and legwear?

I was hoping you liked the grey Monsoon one! That’s definitely my favourite! I think a blazer would be fine, though I’m more of a cardigan girl myself. Lovely invitations, too! Well done!

I think the grey one or the bluey topshop one would look best on you!

Nice selections! My friend wore the Asos dress to a wedding recently, but it was in pink, and it looked great in person. As far as shopping in San Francisco, the Cow Hollow area has a lot of great boutiques and shops. Have fun!

The grey Monsoon one is beautiful.

I really like the wedding invites – can I ask what that font is? Never seen it before and it’s lovely.

Hi Gemma, the font’s called Estilo, pretty isn’t it?

Aww I wore the blue/green Topshop one to a wedding in the summer, (English summers are cold). It’s great because of the long arms & the pleats are good for dancing :)
